Terms & Conditions
GENERAL1.These terms and conditions apply to your booking of a Cointreau Rendez-Vous Privé (the "event") organised by House PR (the “organisers”), 108 Great Russell Street, London, WC1B 3NA and delivered by Shaker UK (the “partners”), Unit 312 Jubilee Centre, Pershore Street, Birmingham, B5 6ND. The organisers and the partners are collectively referred to as the “promoters”. You, the person making the booking are referred to as the “customer”.
2.Purpose of the event is a cocktail making class held in the customer’s private residence for the customer and up to 14 guests (the “participants”) hosted by a professional mixologist (the “host”).
3.Events can be booked between 4th May and 16th October 2011 (or until all available slots are booked). The promoters will use reasonable efforts to meet demand but cannot guarantee availability of a customer’s preferred slot.
4.By participating in the booking of an event, the customer agrees to these terms and conditions. The event promoters may at any time, with no liability, cancel a booking or event if the customer does not comply with these terms and conditions or fails to meet any of the requirements below.
5.No variation of these terms and conditions will be accepted by the event organisers or partners.
BOOKING
1.Event to be booked through
http://www.cointreaurendezvous.co.uk/2.The customer is responsible for providing complete and correct contact details and other information in relation to the event, location, dates, times and participants.
3.The customer will be contacted by email and informed of all relevant details, including the exact date and time of the event, by the promoters via the contact details they provide. It is up to the customer to regularly check these communications and inform the promoters immediately if any corrections, updates or other changes need to be made.
4.The event is available to residents of London (all Greater London postcodes – all EC, E, SW, SE, W, WC, N, NW, TW1-TW12, KT 1-9 (excluding KT7) and KT19, CR0-9, RM1-15, EN1-6, HA0-9 and UB1-11, plus UB18 postcodes ), Manchester (all M postcodes) and Edinburgh (all EH postcodes) and can only be held in a private residence owned or legally occupied by the relevant customer within those areas.
5. All participants must be over 21 years old on the date of the event. The customer is responsible for ensuring all participants are in compliance with this term. Participants may be asked to provide photographic proof of age.
6.The event costs £200 (inclusive of VAT) for up to 10 participants and £10 (inclusive of VAT) per additional participant up to a maximum of 15 participants. Payments may only be made by the means indicated on this promotional website (“Website”). Your booking will be confirmed when you submit your details.
7.Paypal do not store credit card details nor do they share customer details with any third parties.
8.By booking this event the customer agrees to their submitted details (including personal data) being used by the promoters in connection with the event and also being passed on to the event sponsor, First Drinks Brands Ltd (FDB), which is the UK distributor of Cointreau ®. The customer also agrees that this information may be used by the promoters or by FDB to contact the customer in the future by post or email with other related product information that is believed to be of interest, unless the customer chooses when submitting their details to this Website not to receive such information. Other than as set out on this Website, customer information will not be passed onto any third parties.
9.Promoters reserve the right to refuse any customer based on availability of event, suitability of premises or age of customer and participants (in line with UK alcohol regulation and other laws).
10.Booking alterations can be made via
https://www.cointreaurendezvous.co.uk/bookings/mybooking using the individual booking reference number and password provided at time of booking.
11.Subject to availability and limits set out in these terms and conditions: (a) date alterations can be made up to 7 days in advance of event date; (b) time alterations can be made up to 48 hours in advance of event date; and (c) participant number alterations can be made up to 24 hours in advance of event date. Please note if the customer is increasing the number of participants an additional cost of £10 (inclusive of VAT) per participant will be charged. If the customer is decreasing the number, only £10 (inclusive of VAT) per participant will be refunded for participants over the 10 included in the standard £200 (inclusive of VAT) event cost.
CANCELLATION
1.Cancellations must be made online via
https://www.cointreaurendezvous.co.uk/bookings/mybooking2.In the event of a cancellation by the customer the following refunds will be made:
•Up to 14 days prior to event – 75% of total payment
•Up to 7 days prior to event – 50% of total payment
•Less than 7 days prior to event – no refund
3.Promoters will not be liable for returning payment if the event is delayed or cancelled due to a breach or failure to comply with these terms and conditions for which the customer is responsible.
4.The customer accepts that in some cases, the promoters may have to delay or cancel an event due to circumstances beyond their reasonable control in which case the promoters will use reasonable efforts to reschedule the event to a date suitable for the customer and participants.
EVENT
1.Each event booking is for a maximum of 15 participants.
2.The host (who is a representative of the promoters) will attend the location of the event for four hours to include one hour for event set-up, two hours for the event and up to one hour for event close-down.
3.The customer agrees to grant the host access at a pre-arranged time and location in order for the host to be able to check that the premises are suitable (the host will have the final decision on this point) and, if so, to deliver the event to promised level.
4.The host will provide the Cointreau stock, cocktail equipment and mixers, ice and glassware. The equipment and glassware will be removed by the host at the end of the event but any cleaning of the premises will be the responsibility of the customer (unless caused by the negligence of the host or promoters).
5.During the two hour event the host will inform the participants on the history of Cointreau and demonstrate how to make cocktails using Cointreau and additional ingredients.
6.The host will serve a maximum of four Cointreau cocktails to each participant. The host retains full discretion to refuse to serve any participant.
7.Each participant will receive an event goodie bag containing a Cointreau sample bottle, shaker, glass and cocktail information.
8.The customer is fully responsible for the behaviour and actions of any participants and other third parties on their premises during an event. The promoters and host will not be liable for any loss or damage to the customer’s private residence or belongings of the customer or any participants caused by the customer, participant or any such third party. The customer may be asked to reimburse the promoter or host in relation to costs incurred in relation to any damage or loss of promoter or host property or equipment due to negligence or reckless behaviour by the customer, participant or any such third party.
9.Promoters will not be liable for returning any payment made for the event if event is cancelled or finished before the allocated time due to the actions of or inappropriate or unacceptable behaviour of the customer, participants or other third parties on the customer’s premises beyond the reasonable control of the promoters or host, in relation to which the host will have the final decision.
RESPONSIBLE DRINKING
1.The promoters are committed to ensuring that alcohol is consumed in a responsible manner and therefore:
a.We recommend that all participants eat before drinking the cocktails and that they drink water or soft drinks in between drinking cocktails.
b.We will also serve soft drinks.
c.Participants must not drive after consuming cocktails or carry out any other activity that may be dangerous while under the influence of alcohol
d.If under 18 year olds are present in the customer’s private residence, then they must not be allowed into the room where the event takes place
e.The customer is responsible for checking with all other participants that they have no medical condition or allergy which would make it inadvisable to consume alcohol (including pregnancy).
2.The promoters or host reserve the right to cancel or abandon an event and will not be liable if the customer or participants fail to observe the above requirements in relation to responsible drinking.
INSURANCE1.The partner has Public Liability, Employer’s Liability and Product Liability Insurance. Copies of certificates are available on request..
PROMOTION1.Participants may be asked to cooperate in photography or filming for promotional purposes including submitting photographs, films and other user generated material (“Material”) for inclusion on the Website. Participants have the right to refuse to cooperate in such promotions however please note that by posting or submitting such Material, the customer and participants who submit such Material are indicating their consent (and representing that they have the consent of other individuals identified in such Material) to the use of such Material by the promoters for publicity and promotional purposes in connection with the event, in such form and manner as the promoters reasonably chose.
LIABILITYThe promoters, their representatives and agents accept no responsibility for any difficulties experienced in booking an event through this Website. Other than to the extent expressly referred to in these terms and conditions, the customer also agree that to the fullest extent permissible by law, the organisers, partners, host and FDB (together with any of their affiliates, agents and their employees, directors and shareholders) assume no liability for any loss or damage in connection with this promotion or any event. Nothing in these terms and conditions however shall exclude any liability for death or personal injury as a result of a party’s negligence or in relation to fraud.
